WITH THE SPB FAMILY
St Pauls & Barnabas Church Holy Week
Holy Week is a special time for Christians all over the world. It is a time to remember the events leading up to the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
At St Pauls & Barnabas Church, we will be holding special services throughout Holy Week. On Palm Sunday, we will celebrate the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. On Maundy Thursday, we will commemorate the Last Supper and the washing of the disciples' feet. On Good Friday, we will remember the crucifixion of Jesus. And on Easter Sunday, we will celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
We invite you to join us for these special services as we reflect on the meaning of Holy Week.
EASTER WITH ST PAULS & ST BARNABAS
Palm Sunday Service
Palm Sunday is the Sunday before Easter. It marks the beginning of Holy Week, the week that commemorates the events leading up to the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
On Palm Sunday, Christians celebrate Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem. According to the Gospels, Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey, while the crowds waved palm branches and shouted, "Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!"
At St Pauls & Barnabas Church, we will celebrate Palm Sunday with a special service at 10:30 am. The service will centre on the theme of Palm Sunday with a message about the hope to come and something for everyone to take away.
We invite you to join us for this special service as we celebrate the triumphal entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem.
Holy Week Services
On Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of Holy Week, we will be holding special services at 7:45 pm. The theme of these services is "At the Cross."
On Wednesday, we will reflect on the betrayal of Jesus by Judas Iscariot. On Thursday, we will commemorate the Last Supper and the washing of the disciples' feet. And on Friday, we will remember the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
We invite you to join us for these special services as we reflect on the meaning of Holy Week.
Easter Sunday Service
Easter Sunday is the most important day in the Christian calendar. It marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
At St Pauls & Barnabas Church, we will celebrate Easter Sunday with a special service at 10:30 am. The service will include a sermon on the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and a communion service.
We invite you to join us for this special service as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ and think about what it means for we who are his disciples.
